Alliances That Matter: The Role of Partnerships in Tech's Next Frontier
AI is transforming industries at an unprecedented pace, but one thing is clear—no single company can do it alone. Collaboration is at the heart of innovation, and in this episode live from MWC 2025, get ready to dive into two powerful partnerships that are reshaping the future of telecom. First, Matthew Roberts and Avishai Sharlin from Amdocs sit down with Chivas Nambiar, General Manager of Telco at AWS, to explore how Amdocs and AWS are working together to solve Telco’s biggest challenges. From cloud migration to automation to digital transformation, they discuss how this partnership is unlocking new possibilities for service providers of all sizes. Then, Matt welcomes Amir Kaiser from Amdocs and Manish Singh, CTO of Telecom Systems at Dell, to discuss how Dell’s AI infrastructure and Amdocs’ software are powering the AI Factory, a revolutionary approach where data fuels cutting-edge AI. Their conversation dives into AI monetization, sovereign AI solutions across different regions, and how Dell and Amdocs are building modular AI frameworks for scalability. Tune in to discover why collaboration is the key to AI adoption and how partnerships like these are shaping the future of telecom worldwide.

“If you want to build better networks, you want to think about placement of your radio networks. You can use all the data that you have. And before it was hard for people to do it because it was bound by human comprehension. Now you can do it systemically through monitoring things. Your agents monitor for you on your behalf. If you're building new systems, developers are getting so much more productive. If you if you think about network usage, I think GenAI is going to drive more a lot more creative use cases. All this is going to get accelerated. In three years, five years, it is going to be a fantastic place to go to see the innovation happen.”

“There has really not been a transformative technology [on generative AI] of this magnitude arriving at this speed. It has already arrived and the speed at which it is going is remarkable. So the opportunities for improving productivity, improving efficiency and monetizing are absolutely real… here and now. And those who will move to seize these opportunities, will have great business outcomes. Those who sit around, I fear for them.”

“I think the industry, like any other industry, is finding out that ripping out old technologies is harder than what you think. We still see recruiting for COBOL developers, even though people said it's a dead language. We're also still transitioning away from mainframes, despite predictions that mainframes would be obsolete years ago — yet IBM is arguably making more revenue from mainframes now than ever before. 5G is not necessarily taking the industry by storm, but it's yet another step — a reminder that progress requires patience, humility, and moving at the right pace.”

“I think this is the year of accelerated adoption where we see everything becoming more agentic and basically forming the next generation of enterprise software with extreme automation and creating new capabilities. This is the year of adoption so no one will have excuses why they're not using it because we're making it real for them and helping the telcos get this into and turn this into reality.”
